Holmes comet 20 days after the outburst
The weather looked hopeless during the night November 11/12 - continual rain and later even snow.
Before 4:00 of local time the sky surprisingly cleared. I set my paralactic mount in extreme hurry
but the sky became overcast again very quickly. Fortunately the weather turned fair again at about
4:40 and the clear sky lasted to sunrise. I managed to take enough images with my Rubinar 10/1000mm.
Finally I was successful even though I was completely frozen through because I had not enough time to
dress myself properly. I spent more than two hours standing in slippers in wet snow on the terrace.
