Holmes comet 47 days after the outburst
The image shows the Holmes comet and open clusters in
constellation Perseus. The open cluster
near the right edge of the image is M 34 (NGC 1039). The well known, with
naked eyes easily visible, double cluster C 14 (NGC 869, NGC 884) is
visible near the top left corner of the image. The tiny open cluster located under
the comet is NGC 1245, which is much better visible on
this image taken several
days ago.
