Holmes comet 131 days after the outburst and NGC 1499 California nebula

On March 1-2, 2008 there was an extreme weather in the Czech Republic - devastating windstorm, heavy rainfall and even thunderstorm which is very unusual in this period of year. In the evening on March 2 the sky cleared for several hours and the air was crystal clear. I used this short period of excellent observing conditions for taking the image of Holmes comet approaching the California nebula (see detail).
