The image was taken in very strong wind and low temperature at the pass above Schmoll lake in Nahuel
Huapi National Park in Argentina. Nowadays digital cameras are made for use only in good conditions.
Cameras like Canon 1D or 5D are fantastic equipment, but proclamations that they are suitable for
using in hard conditions in nature photography is just a a bad joke for me only. They are very heavy
if you need to carry them on your shoulders for several weeks and also using of tiny buttons of the
camera control is a really "clever" solution if you are wearing gloves. At this frosty and windy
night, I had to operate for a long time without gloves and it was really a painful experience.
