Red Sprites

Thunderstorm over Tatras in Slovakia on June 12/13, 2020

The extreme rainfall which caused many floods in the Czech Republic terminated a long period of extremely dry weather. The rainy period started with huge thunderstorm over Tatra mountains in Slovakia which created many red sprites. The images presented on this page were taken by Daniel Ščerba and processed by Miloslav Druckmüller. The observing place was in Jeseníky mountains, Northern Moravia, Czech Republic.
