Corona and chromosphere

This image shows the beginning of total solar eclipse of February 26, 1998. The main image used for display of the nearest neighborhood of the Sun was taken in the moment when the red photosphere was visible.

ProcessingComposition of 15 images. Images were aligned by means of phase correlation technique (PhaseCorr 3.0) and then processed using Corona 3.0 software by means of adaptive kernel convolution. Final processing done in ACC 6.0.
