Eclipsed Sun, Mercury and Jupiter

This wide-angle image shows the solar corona up to the distance of more than 12 solar radii and moreover Jupiter, Mercury (see the image with star map overlay) and stars down to magnitude 5.8. Two different sets of images were used for creation of the resulting image - images taken in Venezuela by Úpice Observatory (Czech Republic) expedition members and wide-angle image taken by Ronald E. Royer in Aruba. The time difference of the total solar eclipse between Venezuela and Aruba was about 5 minutes, which is negligible for this type of wide-angle image.
