Fe XIV emission - on/off line color image

The red and blue components of this image are identical and they consist of image taken though 529.1 nm filter. This is the image of continuum only. The green component is the image taken through 530.2 nm filter. This image is taken on the wavelength of Fe XIV emission line, however the light contained not only Fe XIV emission but continuum as well. Both the on-line and the off-line image were precisely calibrated and the shift of 1.1 nm between the on-line and the off-line filter is negligible from the point of continuum intensity. Therefore the intensity of continuum in the red, green and blue component of the image is identical and represents neutrally gray component of the color image. The XIV emission is present only in the green component of the color image. The image is presented in logarithm brightness scala and without any structure enhancement. The image contains a lot of information which is invisible because of very high brightness range (see this animation).
