Corona and SOHO EIT 30.4nm composite

This image was created by replacing the Moon obscured part of the Sun by SOHO EIT He II 30.4nm image. The Moon position corresponds the time of the second contact and therefore on the left side the lunar and solar limb are nearly identical. On the right side the difference between the lunar and solar one is clearly visible.

Processing16 different images was used for corona image creation. Images were aligned by means of phase correlation technique and then processed using Corona 3.0 software. Composing with SOHO EIT 30.4 nm He II image and final processing was done by ACC 6.0 image analyzer.
