Baily's beads 5 seconds after C3 and iridescent high clouds

This HDR image processing had to manage the brightness ratio more than 1:107. Two digital images and one classical negative film image taken within one second were used for the brightest part of the image. The lower light intensity the more images were used. Total number of used images was 54. The color negative film was used because images taken on this film have no saturated part, unlike digital camera images. That is why the use of color negative film improves the display of Baily's beads. The full-resolution version you may download here.

ProcessingComposition of 54 eclipse images - 25 images (1), 20 images (2), 8 images (3), 1 image (4). Digital eclipse images were calibrated by means of large number of dark frames and flat-fields, aligned by means of phase correlation, composed by means of LDIC 5.0 software, processed using Corona 4.1 in order to visualize coronal structures. Final processing was done using ACC 6.1 software.
